Professional Media Group, LLC, a Norwalk, Connecticut, business-to-business publisher, is seeking an experienced journalist to work on the District Administration editorial team supporting its growing print, Web and e-newsletter business.
Basic responsibilties will include:
- Suggesting story ideas for magazine, Web site and e-newsletters
- Writing a minimum of 5 reported stories per week
- Securing art for stories
- Selecting articles for daily headline news e-newsletter
- Establishing and maintaining association and industry contacts
- Traveling to industry meetings
The ideal candidate is a journalist and enthusiastic team player with experience in a similar role and the following:
- Excellent writing/reporting skills
- Knowledge about and interest in the issues and trends in K12 public education, including technology
- The ability to multitask efficiently and work well independently
- A commitment to meeting deadlines
